About us

Montessori Rotorua Preschool are privately owned by Janet and Neville Du Fall. Janet holds a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Teaching) from the Auckland University of Technology, a Nursery Foundation Teaching Diploma and an English Language Diploma from the London Montessori Centre. She has undertaken postgraduate study and has presented a paper on Montessori and Social Justice at the 2008 Australian Association for Research in Education conference. Janet and Neville have a family of five children, four grandchildren and established the centre in 1989. Janet was a founding trustee of the Rotorua Montessori Primary Trust. The centre is committed to learning as a life- long activity and all staff regularly attend professional development and engage in reflective teaching practice.
